We work with passion and professionally, but first of all because we enjoy it.
Shamliza opened its doors in May 2014 at Karađorđeva 11 in Belgrade. The name comes from the šamlica, a wooden stool handed down through generations across the Balkans for centuries. Its simplicity is still our measure.
In our showrooms in Belgrade and Vienna we present furniture exclusively by regional designers and architects: solid wood and metal, simple lines, clear purpose. We also redesign vintage pieces from the fifties, sixties and seventies, promoting creative recycling.
We support young regional artists and exhibit their paintings, prints and ceramics. We do business honestly, build respect with clients and partners, and keep watching the market. That is all. The rest is wood.
What we believe in
